VERNA MAY RATCLIFF was born in Keokuk County, Iowa, Nov. 14, 1880, and died
at her home near Lucas, March 1, 1908, after an illness of four weeks with
dropsy, at the age of 27 years, 3 months and 16 days.

She came to Lucas County with her parents about twelve years ago, and with
the exception of one year spent in Clarke County, her residence has been
here. She was united in marriage to CHARLES MUNDELL Feby 27, 1907. She was
converted and joined the Evangelical Church, four years ago, and has since
lived a consistent Christian life.

She leaves to mourn her departure, a husband, mother, one sister, and two
brothers, and three half brothers. Funeral services were held at the Goshen
Church, Tuesday, conducted by Rev. M.S. Clark, and the remains interred in
the Goshen Cemetery.
