The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, April 9, 1908

JESSE E. FISK, son of MR. and MRS. D.M. FISK, died very suddenly, of heart
failure, at his home in Cambria, Friday evening, March 20, 1908, age 18
years, 5 months and 14 days.

He went about his work, as usual during the day, ate supper with the rest of
the family and did not complain of even feeling poorly until a few moments
after all had retired, except he and his brother. He then complained of
being too warm and feeling dizzy. His father was called and as he reached
the foot of the stairs met him and undertook to assist him to the couch, but
before it was realized he passed away. He had a kind and cheerful
disposition and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves a father, mother,
grandmother, two sisters, one brother and many friends to mourn their loss.

The funeral service was held in the M.E. Church, at Cambria, March 22, 1908,
conducted by Rev. J.H. Perry, of the Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. O.W.
Brown, of the M.E. Church. He was followed to his last resting place, in
the Cambria Cemetery, by a large concourse of friends.

The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
