The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, December 12, 1907

The friends of MRS. JOSEPH BEST were greatly shocked, on Monday morning, to
learn of her death which occurred very suddenly about 7:30 o'clock. She had
apparently been in good health, having returned from a visit with her
daughter, MRS. CHAS. MURRAY at Tingley, the last of the week. She arose as
usual in the morning, and assisted in preparing breakfast. Shortly after
the morning meal she was taken with a neuralgia pain near the heart, and
expired within a half hour afterward. She had in former years had neuralgia
but had not had an attack for several years.

An obituary will be given next week.
