The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, December 5, 1907LIZZIE BEAGLEY was born in Bentley, England, October 2nd, 1858. She came
with her parents to Russell, May, 1874. She was united in marriage to
JOSEPH LARIMER, of Russell, May 18, 1882, who died December 22, 1887. Two
children blessed this union, one son, FRED, and a daughter, BELLE, who died
in infancy. MRS. LARIMER had been a great sufferer for several years, with
paralysis and other complications, but bore her sufferings with patience and
forbearance. She was a true Christian woman, devoted to her home and church, and died as
she lived, in the faith of her Master. Shortly after her husband's death,
she removed with her son to Chariton, where they have since resided. She
leaves a father, seven brothers and three sisters, besides her son FRED, who
has ever been kind and faithful in administering to her desires, to mourn
the loss of the departed.Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, at one o'clock,
conducted by Rev. McCullagh, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, and the
remains laid to rest in the Russell Cemetery by the side of her husband.
The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the community in their
bereavement.
