Thursday, November 7, 1907AMISA HARLAN FREEMAN was born in Appanoose County, near Centerville, Oct. 24
1858, and died at his home in Chariton, Nov. 5, 1907, aged 49 years, 10
days. He came to this city when he was about 21 years of age and has since
made this place his home. He was united in marriage to MISS MATTIE MINSHALL
of English Township, Feby. 10, 1887. To this union were born six children,
four sons and two daughters, one daughter dying in infancy. He was in the
employ of Eikenberry & McKlveen, and was an upright and honest man.He was taken sick in August and had been confined to his home since, with
complicated trouble, but was improving and walked up town on Monday. On
Tuesday morning, he was taken worse and only lived a few hours. Beside his
wife and children, he leaves a mother, MRS. GEO. SHARP, of Lacona, and four
sisters to mourn their loss. Funeral services will be conducted at the M.E.
Church, Sunday afternoon at 1:30 by Rev. Evans and the W.O.W. and Homestead
orders will take charge of the remains at the cemetery.
