WILLIAM HORNER died on Tuesday, at the home of his son in Washington
Township, the funeral occurring yesterday afternoon. He was well advanced
in years and had been a long sufferer from kidney and kindred troubles. He
was a good man and held the respect of all who knew him. His companion
passed to the great beyond last fall.

'OBITUARY'

WILLIAM M. HORNER was born in Perry County, Ohio, July 25, 1830 and departed
this life Aug. 6, 1907, aged 77 years and 12 days. He was married to JANE
FOWLER June 6, 1852, who departed this life Dec. 12, 1906. To this union
were born ten children, all living but two, JAMES WILLIAM who died in
Russell County, Kansas, some years ago, and SAVILLA JANE LEMLEY, who died in
1902. Those living are MARY VAWTER, of Waldo, Kan.; ELIAS D., G.W. and
SARAH PARR, of Lucas County; HENRY C., of Indian Territory; EUGENE W., of
Hoxie, Kan., and JOHN W. and ROBERT P. of Whitepine, Montana.

MR. HORNER was converted in the M.E. Church of which he was a member for 25
years, when he united with the Christian Church. The funeral was conducted
by Rev. D.H. Wood, and interment was made in Russell Cemetery.
