JANE VICKROY was born in Ohio, Oct. 25, 1843, and died at her home in
northeast Chariton at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening, August 27, her age being
63 years, 10 months and 2 days. When she was but eleven years old she came
to Lucas County, Iowa, with her parents. On July 21, 1867, she was married
to CHARLES W. WILSON. To this union four children were born, ROSE FOOTE of
St. Edward, Neb.; MARY E. SPIKER, WM. C. and WALTER of this county; these
together with the husband, three brothers and two sisters, are left to mourn
the loss of a loving mother, wife and sister.

Mother WILSON was always desirous for the good, anxious that her children be
brought up to love and fear the Lord, was devoted to the church of which she
was a faithful member. In her early life she joined the Methodist Church,
but the last ten years of her life she belonged to the Christian Church of
this city from which the funeral services were held on Saturday, August 31,
the sermon being preached by Rev. J.H. Yaggy of the U.B. Church. After which
the remains were laid to rest in Chariton Cemetery.
