LLOYD CLIFFORD, son of MR. and MRS. ROBERT TANSY, was born in Chariton, July
16, 1905, and died Friday evening, Sept. 20, 1907, after an illness of about
three weeks with bronchial pneumonia and brain fever, at the age of 2 years,
2 months and 4 days. He was a bright, lovable child, the light and joy of
the home, that is now so sad and desolate. All that loving hands and
medical skill could do to restore the little one to health was done, but to
no avail, and we can only bow to the inevitable.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. N. Evans, of the Methodist Episcopal
Church, were held at the home on Court Avenue, Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o
clock, and the remains taken to the Russell Cemetery, for interment. The
sorrowing ones have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.

neighbors and friends, who so kindly assisted them during the illness and
death of their little son, Lloyd.
