ROY DAWSON, son of MR. and MRS. W.N. DAWSON, was born March 21, 1886, and
died at his home in this city, Jan. 14, 1907, at the age of 20 years, 9
months and 18 days. He had been confined to his home nine months with
consumption, and while his death was not unexpected, yet it brings the same
degree of sadness to the hearts of those who are near and dear, and they
fully realize the place made vacant in the home can never be filled. He was
employed at the Noble Restaurant two years, and was held in high esteem by
all who knew him.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Baptist Church at 2:30,
conducted by the Pastor, Rev. Palmer, and itnerment made in Chariton
Cemetery. He leaves a father, mother, three sisters, Mesdames ROSE WEAVER,
of St. Joseph, LOU HOWARD and MAUD PETERSON of this city, and five brothers,
EDWARD, WILLIAM and BOISE of Chariton; CHARLES of Centerville and HARRY of
Creston, to mourn the loss of a loving son and brother.
