The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, January 17, 1907

Many hearts go out in full sympathy to MR. and MRS. GEORGE PARSONS by reason
of the death of their baby boy. ELMER was only ill a few days yet the
ravages of pneumonia were so severe that death was the result. The babe
died on Friday the 11th of January at the home of the grandparents, MR. and
MRS. JAMES PARSONS, aged three months and twelve days. The funeral services
were conducted by Rev. F.B. Palmer at 1:30 o'clock on last Sunday afternoon
from the home of the grandparents, and were very largely attended by friends
and neighbors.

Our little darling Elmer

Has gone to a home on high,

He has left us but God will receive him

So we cannot but say Good-bye.

Our blossom, our little angel

Transplanted from earth to the sky

Our only son, life had just begun

But we cannot but say Good-bye.
