MORGAN, PLASTER, DODDS, HAWKINS, LOACH, KENT

MARY A. PLASTER, daughter of ROBERT and MARY PLASTER, was born in Bristol,
England, Oct. 8, 1831. She emigrated to South Wales with her parents when a
child and lived at the Varteg and nantygle in the principality. When quite
young she was united with the Methodist Church. In 1854 she was married to
RICHARD DODDS at Dudley old church, Staffordshire, England. One child
blessed this union but died in infancy. MR. DODDS died in 1854. MRS. DODDS
came to America in 1856 and was married to CHRISTOPHER B. HAWKINS in the
year 1860 at Farmington, Iowa. This marriage was blessed with five children
J.H., J.W., and C.C. HAWKINS, and MRS. GRACE E. LOACH and MRS. CARRIE KENT.
All are living except J.H., who died in 1884.

The family came to Lucas in 1878 and MRS. HAWKINS united with the
Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints, remaining a true and faithful
member of that church until called from her labors to rest. She leaves to
mourn the loss the aged husband, two sons, two daughters, three
grandchildren and one great grandchild. She died this last (Thursday)
morning at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 8 days. She was buried Friday
at 2 o'clock. Services were held at the home and conducted by Elder E.B.
Morgan.
