Charles Scott

Charles Scott was born in Decatur County Jan. 8, 1855 and died April 21, 1916, being 61 years, 3 months, and 13 days.
He was next to the youngest of 11 children of Allen and Rachel Scott.
He was married to Rachel Trembly Nov. 21, 1874, and eight children have blessed this union, three having been called to the other world.
He is survived by his wife, five children, and four brothers. Who mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and brother.
He affiliated with the Baptist faith and was converted during a meeting held at Providence Church in 1914. His last sickness was of short duration, and attended with much suffering, but he bore it with great patience as one who has a great hope in the future.
The funeral was held at Providence Church on Sunday, April 23, 1916. Internment was in the Hamilton Cemetery.
