Died, at the residence of her mother, Mrs. William Pim, in Jackson township, on April 2nd, 1886, Mrs. Ella P. Knotts, aged 21 years.
She was married October 8th, 1885, to Isaiah J. Knotts, and the few months of her married life was spent with her husband in Lucas, where she had many friends.
In January last she contracted a cold which eventually settled on her lungs. Notwithstanding all that medical aid, an indulgent husband, and the kindness bestowed on her by the home circle, she faded from our view as a flower fadeth to bloom in the better world, of which, she never tired of talking.
She would call her friends around her, and talk in such a sweet, calm voice of the world to which she was going, and ask her friends to meet he there.
Her last words were, "I am dying--now dying--dying."
The funeral services were conducted by Reb. R. M. Archer, of Chariton-the same minister that united Mrs. Knotts and her husband in the holy bonds of matrimony.
