ASA ARTHUR PRICE

Price-- Asa Arthur Price, son of Emmaline and Miles Price, was born August
25, 1881 on a farm near Russell and passed away at the Johnson Nursing Home
in Chariton, Tuesday, July 12, 1966 after a lingering illness.

On March 18, 1908 he was united in marriage to Mary Maud Beals in Russell,
who preceded him in death in 1955. Tho this union five children were born:
Russell Beals of Winona, Minn.; Everett Miles of Norton, Kans.; Mary Hazel
Pierce of Russell, Helen Ruth Brazil of Centerville, and Ralph Eugene of
Russell, all of which are living. There are 14 grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren. Also there is one surviving sister, Ida Price of
Denison; on sister in law, Emma Price of Chariton; and one brother in law,
Will Conner of Russell. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
He was a member of the First Baptist church. For many years he was a
hardware dealer in Russell. He was a devoted husband, father, and
grandfather and was highly respected by all who knew him. The Rev. Gelnn
Saunders officiated at funeral services held at the Woodman Funeral home in
Russell Friday afternoon with burial in the Russell cemetery.
