CHARLES S. PRICE

Charles Sumner Price son of Miles and Emaline Price was born in McDonough
County Ill. in the year of 1870 and departed this life December 16, 1945 at
the age of 75 years. At the age of five he came to Iowa with his parents.
With the exception of a few years he lived the remainder of his life in and
near Russell. On March 7, 1895 he was united in marriage to Emma Florence
Mart. To this union 13 children were born on son Keneth J. preceding him in
death. Those left to mourn are Earl, Fred, Charles Glenn Keith and Mrs.
Dorothy Langston all of Hemingford Nebr. Mrs. Mabel Lee, Mrs. Eva Perme, of
San Jose Calif; Mrs. Floy Bachert of Sacramento Calif. Bessie of Glenwood,
Mrs. Earl Thomas of Des Moines Iowa and Myrtle at home. There are 19
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, also one brother Asa. A. Price and
two sisters, Mrs. Harriett Conner of Russell and Ida Price of Dennison, Ia.
Mr. Price made many friends through the years who will remember him as an
honest, hard working man, a good neighbor and friend, willing at all times
to help those in need. Within the home circle he took a keen
interest in the welfare of those dear to his heart. He will be greatly
missed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the Russell
Methodist church Tuesday, December 18th at 2 P.M. conducted by Rev. A.E.
Beals assisted by Rev. J A Worrell. Interment was in the Russell cemetery.
