Mrs. John R. Poush
Laura Bell McKinley, youngest daughter of Ananias and Lucy McKinley, was born in Salem community in Lucas county Iowa, on March 4, 1872, and died at the Baker Nursing Home in Chariton on April 24, 1945, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 20 days.
She was united in marriage to Samuel Moore, of Russell, in 1895, To This union one child, Allen Wayne, was born. Mr. Moore died during the early years of their life together, and she was later married to John R. Poush, of Chariton, on Dec. 17, 1905. To this marriage a son, Emmett, was born.
She leaves to mourn her death two sons, Allen Moore, of Greeley, Colo.; and Emmett Poush, of Chariton; one stepson, Herbert Poush, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Walter Field, of Greeley, Colo.; two great grandchildren ; one sister, Mrs. Alice Holmes, of Chariton; one brother, James, McKinley , of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, John R. Poush, preceded, her in death just four days, having passed away Friday, April 20.
Funeral rites, conducted by Rev. John A. Dowd, of the United Brethren church, were held at 2:00 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Miley funeral home, and burial was in the Russell cemetery
