Des Moines Register Obituary Herbert D. Garrison:
Services for Herbert D. Garrison, 52, of 1501 E. Thirty-sixth St, will be at10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hamiton Funeral Home, with burial in Chapel Hill Gardens. Mr. Garrison did of cancer Friday at Veterans Hospital after an illness of two years.
A native of Lucas, he lived in Des Moines most of his life and was a driver for Yellow Cab Co. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Mrs. Joan (Delbert) Smith of Des Moines; three sons, Robert, Kenneth, and Harold of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Rose Marie Gentry of Renton, Washington; three brothers, Roy of Lewis, Iowa; Raymond of Lake Lillian, Minnesota; and Joe of Carthage, Missouri; a step-mother, Mrs. Mina Garrison; a half-sister, Marlene Hill; a half-brother, Mark Garrison of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
