DIED. -- At 8 o'clock on Sabbath morning, March 7th, MISS LIZZIE S., eldest
daughter of DR. ROBERT MCCORMICK, at the home of her father, in Chariton.

MISS MCCORMICK has been for many years a resident of Chariton, and will be
much missed by a large circle of friends and acquaintances here by whom she
was beloved and respected for her many amiable qualities. She had been
suffering more or less for several years, from lung disease, and finally
became a victim to that terribly remorseless disease; consumption.

Her funeral took place yesterday, the 9th, at 10 o'clock, A.M., when she was
laid lifeless and cold beneath the clods of the cemetery, leaving nothing
behind, save that best of all legacies, the love of relatives and friends,
who have the condolence of the community generally on their loss.
