COFFMAN-MUNSON WEDDING ANNOUNCED.
A beautiful, impressive, candlelight ceremony took place in the Army Air Field Chapel in San Angelo, Texas on Monday evening, September 4, at 8:00 when Marietta Coffman, of Chariton, IA, Daughter of Charles F Coffman, of Russell, IA and Lt. Willard E Munson, son of Mrs. Bob Campbell, of Chariton before a candle lighted altar, decorated with flowers.The bride was given in Marriage by Capt. Floyd Evans, of Dallas TX. The organist played the traditional nuptial music. Their attendants were Lt. Mark Schneider and wife of Chicago, IL, now stationed in San Angelo, TX
The bride was attired in a duchess blue frock, with fuchsia hat & gloves, other accessories were dark brown. She wore a corsage of Orchids. Her only jewelry was a gold link bracelet, a gift of Mrs. F. E, Selby of Des Moines.
Mrs. Schneider, matron of honor, wore a pale rose dress with black accessories. Her corsage consisted of one large orchid.
The bridegroom and attendants wore the Army dress uniform.
Following the wedding the couple were honored at a dinner party at Cogburns given by Major James Brown of Louisiana
Mrs. Munson, a graduate of Russell High School, attended the American business Institute in Des Moines. Preceding her marriage, she was employed as secretary for the War Price & Rationing Board of Chariton, IA.
Lt. Munson is a graduate of Chariton high school. He has been in the Army service three and a half years, and returned in March from a year’s service in England. After completing his missions over Germany Lt. Munson was transferred S A A A B July 23 as a bombardier instructor.
The couple is at home at 1414 West Harris, San Angelo, TX
