A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of the bride's mother, MRS. R.R.
MARTIN, Wednesday evening, when her daughter PEARL, was united in marriage
to ARTHUR LUNDGREN, Rev. O.A. Elmquist, Pastor of the Swedish Lutheran
Church, officiating, in the presence of about seventy-five invited guests.
Miss Amanda Westling sang "O Promise Me" and to the sweet strains of
Mendelssohn's wedding march, executed by the groom's sister, HELEN, the
bride and groom, attended by Marie Bowen as bridesmaid, and Oliver Trautwein
as best man, took their places at the altar, which was banked with ferns,
potted plants and cut flowers.

The bride was tastefully dressed in white silk and carried bride's roses,
and the bridesmaid wore pink silk and carried pink roses. The house was
decorated in pink and white.

The bride is a lady of refinement and culture, is a graduate of the Chariton
high school in the class of '07, and is capable of assuming the
responsibilities which will naturally be hers in caring for a home. The
groom is a son of MR. and MRS. ANDREW LUNDGREN, and grew to manhood in
Chariton. He is a young man of exemplary habits, and fine abilities. He is
at present employed with Contractors Johnson & Best.

This young couple start out in life with prospects of a bright future, and
their many friends wish them a long and happy life.
