RUSSELL NEWS:

A very pretty home wedding took place Wednesday evening at seven-thirty at
the home of MR. and MRS. GEO. JOHNSTON when their eldest daughter BESSIE,
and LLOYD MAY were united in marriage by Rev. S.A. Soxe of the Presbyterian
Church. Promptly at seven-thirty Lohengren's Bridal chorus was sung by the
Misses Hazel and Nora Werts and Miss Cassity, after which the bridal party
entered the parlor and took their places under a canopy of smilax to the
strains of Huddleston's wedding march.

After congratulations, a two-course luncheon was served. Many beautiful
presents were received. The bride wore a white Persian lawn dress with lace
trimmings and carried a bouquet of bridal roses. The groom is one of Lucas
County's most energetic young farmers. These young people have many warm
friends who wish them a life of happiness. They will go to housekeeping on
a farm north of town.
