A PRETTY FARM PLACE -- CARL ANDERSON

ANDERSON

The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, July 11, 1907

One of the best kept farms and most home-like places in Lucas County, is
that of CARL ANDERSON, on the Belinda road, eight miles northeast of
Chariton. The arrangement of the farm buildings and method of keeping his
fields and yards lend a cheerfulness to the place that is quite noticeable.
MR. ANDERSON is one of those progressive men who learned the business as a
hired apprentice on the farm some twenty years ago and when he began to do
for himself put the knowledge gained into practice. It is not the Leader's
object to depreciate others, for Pleasant and English Townships are full of
progressive farmers who have made the prairies blossom as the rose, but to
illustrate the impetus it would give a county if every one would take the
pride in farm operations that MR. ANDERSON and his neighbors do.
