The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, October 24, 1907

On Wednesday evening, at the home of the bride's parents, H.J. TAYLOR and
wife, in Warren Township, Rev. M.G. Munn, of the Chariton U.P. Church, spoke
the words which joined for life, MR. ORLIE B. HARRIS and MISS ELVIA A.
TAYLOR, the ceremony being at 8:00 p.m. A reception is to be given at the
home of the groom's parents this evening. The arrangements for the bridal
occasion were most pleasing. The bride wore a dress of Persian lawn,
trimmed with valenciennes lace and her traveling gown was of brown texture.
The groom was becomingly attired and the scene was one of grace and the
young couple appeared at their best without seeming embarrasment.

They expect to leave tomorrow for Deadwood, South Dakota, which place is to
be their home. The guests from a distance were Mr. Cecil Gillaspie and Miss
Lorena Gillaspie, from Winterset; Mr. and Mrs. Will Allen, Woodburn; Miss
Emma Gillaspie, Ft. Madison.

This is a worthy young couple and they start out in life with bright
prospects and all hope their fondest dreams may be realized and that success
will meet them all along the pathway.
