Dear Ann,

It would be helpful to us if you would give more of a time period as to when Samuel was said to be living in Louisa County, IA.

Most likely it is going to take a trip to the Louisa County Court House to look up marriage records at the Recorder's office and divorce records in the county Clerk's office.

Divorces before 1907 were considered civil suits and they may not easily found in the record books.

Can you take a field trip to the Louisa Co. Courthouse?
