In Response To: death and burial (Ann Cotter Schrader)

Hi Ann,

I saw Mary McSweeney in the 1870 census with sons Edward and Danial. In 1880 she was named as McSweney, living with James and Catherine Colton.

1n the 1885 IA State census I could not find Mary. She is not listed as living with James and Catherine Colton.

Using on-line records, I could not find Mary McSweeney, under any spelling, buried in Louisa Co.

You could contact the Louisa County Recorder's office to see if they have a death record for her.

Another thought, where is her husband buried? Perhaps her body was brought there, by train, so that they might be together again.
