Seems I have come across the same person (Daniel is where my trail goes cold). In my searching I have found some census records from Central IL. At this point Daniel Sill is no longer in the picture and they seem to be living with Francis M Jones and his wife, both from Ohio. In 1870 Robert F Sill is 12 which would put his birth date around 1857-1858. I don't know if you will get this but if you do I will gladly share with you what I have found as of now.
