Hi Mark,

Your James Gordon came to Louisa County very early on. He is listed in the 1838 Territorial Census for this area.

There is also mention of him in the Louisa Co. History book of 1912.

I found this information by using the Free Find search engine, found on the home page of the Louisa Co. IAGenWeb site.

Enter Gordon then click on find. You will see there are a lot of pages that have the name of Gordon on them.

To whittle the list down select 'advance search' which is located on the upper right side of the window.

Now enter James Gordon and it will bring up some pages which might be of interest to you.
