BIRD, HARRINGTON

Andrew J. Birdborn 22 Mar 1824, Pennsylvania and Jane Harrington were
married in Wapello, Louisa Co., Iowa 7 Jul 1853. Found in 1856 census
Andrew J. Bird born 22 Mar 1824 with wife Jane , children Catherine 9,
Daniel 8, John 6. EthanLilly Harrington, born Connecticut, Janes father is
also living there, his wife, Betsey isn't (did she die there and are they
buried there?) John 6 at the time is found with Andrew and Jane in 1860.
Are Catherine and Daniel Bird buried there? I believe Andrew J. Bird is the
son of John and Catherine Bird of Lawrence Co., Pa. There is a John Bird
there in the census and I have a story about him also being a son of JOhn
and CAtherine. John died first and CAtherine second. John Bird from
Wapello or Andrew J. are neither one mentioned in her will. Andrew J. died
in Plattsburg, Mo 3 June 1871 leaving Jane with John, Voleny (who says he
was born in Wapello, Iowa), Abigail Beatrice, Levi Leonard. Are there any
records that would help with these questions. I would like to visit the
country and wonder if there are tombstones, info, records. My name is
Ramona J. Stettnisch, wife of Kenneth G. who is a grandson of Levi Leonard.
After his mother, sister, brother, and half brother homesteaded land in
Cloud Co., Kansas then traded it to a relative (George Harrington family )
for a team of horses and buckboard, married a George M. Kindel and Moved to
Barnes, Kansas where Levi worked as a blacksmith for 70 years. I could send
you the info I have in my family file if you save them. Thank you.
