I am trying to find Thornton family members who can help me with the family history. I have not been able to find a death date for Syrich A. (Jack) Thornton who died after 1944. He sometimes went by John, Jackson, Jack and J.T. He was the son of Thomas and Rachel Smith Thornton. He married Emma L. Butcher 10-29-1889 in Muscatine County, she died in 1929. Their children were Flossie, Pearl L., married Harl Rex McCarty, she died 1931, Myrtle married Daniel Edwards she died 1969, Ruth R. married Chester Bond, she died 2000 buried in Union Cemetery, Louisa County, Lamoyne never married, he died 1979, Gladys died 1934, Lucille married Ernest Trask, Cleota married Merle Pletcher. I would really appreciate any help you can give me on the death date for Syrich Thornton. He is buried in Conesville cemetery but I am told there is no death date on his stone. I also tried the Court Houses in Muscatine, Iowa City, Washington, Wapello with no results. If there are any members of this family would you please contact me? Thank you
