Thomas Wood Bennett

I found a listing in the Louisa County records for the marriage of Thomas Bennett and Phoebe Crepwell. Thomas Wood Bennett is my 4th Great grandfather. He died in Louisa County in 1853 while starting off for Oregon, where his wife, Phoebe, then pregnant, arrived in 1853. I'm trying to locate Thomas Bennett in England where he says he was born (1850 US census of Louisa County, IA). My hope is that he placed something on the marriage certificate to give me a clue where to look in England.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
