Marvin,

Thanks for your response. The reason for my inquiry is my full name is James Calhoun Huff Jr., Junius was my gggrandfather. I just returned from Atlanta where I combed Missionary Ridge as it was one of the Civil War battles he was in.

I'd love to share what you have as Ancestry.com traces Zadock Calhoun to North Carolina but in all t5he census records and what my fater told my they came from South Carolina so I'm a little confused. The only thing I can think of is Junius didn't want to be associated with the Calhouns of S.C. since he went through the war in the Union Army.

Ancestry also traces his lineage back to 1050 but again I question how they got from Scotland and when.
