The entire community of Oakville was saddened Saturday by the death of Mrs. Matilda Brewer, known as "Grandma" to the community. She was taken suddenly ill at the home of Frank Thornton, where she had gone for a visit, suffering from cerebral hemorrhage. Owing to her advanced age no headway could be made and she steadily failed. She has been a resident of that vicinity for many years and was a woman of a most excellent repute, a devoted christian and ideal mother. She is survived by two sons and a daughter. Funeral services were held at Kingston.
