Page 1Marie A. Brown was born at Baden, Germany, Sept. 8, 1826 and died at her home in Grandview, Iowa, Sabbath morning, March 6, 1910, a 2 o'clock, aged 83 years, 6 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to Jacob Kallenbarger at New Orleans in 1849. To them were born nine children, two having preceded her in death. Her husband died Nov. 4, 1893. She is survived by four sons and three daughters: Jacob, of Chicago; Chris, of Wapello; Dan and Mrs. J. Sringle, of Grandview; Mary Kersch and Mrs. Ella Stapp, of St. Louis, Mo., all of whom were present at the funeral. She and her husband were charter members of the Congregational church, their membership dating from the year 1857. She was a faithful member. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational church; conducted by Rev. S. E. Eels, pastor. Interment in the Grandview cemetery.
