Mrs. Charlotte Jarvis, an old resident and one of the pioneer mothers, died at the county home May 7, 1909. She was 81 years and has been a familiar character in Morning Sun. At one time in her life, while her husband lived, they were rich in this world's goods. She gave to those that were needy and it was her misfortune to not have a home or any one to take care of her. In her youthful days she was a member of the Christian church, later identifying herself with the Methodist church at Grove chapel. After moving to Morning Sun she joined the M. E. church. She leaves three sons, one daughter and one sister. Her husband has been dead for 20 years.
