Page 8Letts - Enoch Taylor died at his home in Letts, Saturday, March 13, after an illness of about ten days. The funeral was held at the M. E. church on Tuesday at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Longnecker. The Masons conducted the services at the cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born in Ohio in 1835, coming to Iowa a good many years ago and settled in Cedar township, Muscatine county, where he lived until two years ago when he sold his farm and moved to Letts. He built a fine residence but did not live long to enjoy it. His old neighbors unite in saying that Mr. Taylor was a good citizen, strictly honest and conscientious in all his dealings with his fellowmen. He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Letts. He is survived by his wife and one daughter and three grandchildren.
