Morning Sun - Christ Brownfield died last Thursday morning, April 20, at the home of his mother, Mrs. H. S. Bevans, after a week's illness. He had been in poor health for some time but was not confined to the house. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. F. W. Adams, was held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in old cemetery north of town.

Mr. Brownfield was born near Marsh, Ia., February, 1851 and resided in this vicinity all his life. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. H. S. Bevans and one brother, John Brownfield, of Winfield.
