Grandview - Death came to Mrs. Martin Myers at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Curtis, Mar. 23, 1905, at 10:30 a. m., after a lingering illness of five years. Miss Kate Bader was born in Germany in 1820 and was united in marriage to Martin Myers in 1852, and with her husband came to this country in that year they lived in Cinn., Ohio, until 1870, when they came to Iowa and settled near Grandview, which place they made their home. To this union were born eight children, three being dead. The five who survives, are Jacob and Fred; Mrs. Keefer of Clifton, Kas.; Mrs. Mitchell, of Oskaloosa, Ia.; Mrs. John Curtis, of Grandview.
