Morning Sun - John Hutchinson, a long time resident of this community, died last Friday, aged 74 years. He was born in Ireland Feb. 22, 1831, and came to America in 1857. He settled on the farm where he died, in 1868. He was a veteran of the civil war, having served in Co. "C" 55th Ohio Vol. Inft., and was with Sherman in his famous march to the sea. He leaves six sisters four of them living in Des Moines county. Deceased was a faithful member of the Convenanter church of this city. The funeral services were held from his residence Monday at 10 a. m., with interment in Sharon cemetery.
