Mrs. Hulda Herrick Jamison, wife of the late George Jamison, died at her home near Newport, Iowa, last night at 10 o'clock. On Thursday of last week she suffered a paralytic stroke, from which she could not rally and she passed peacefully away one week later. Mrs. Jamison was one of the earliest pioneers of Louisa county, being a resident of Wapello township for sixty-four years. She was born in New York state in the year 1822 and came to Iowa with her husband from Fayette county, Ohio, in 1840. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at the Bethel church, conducted by Rev. W. H. Cooper, of this city. The cortege will leave the house at 1 o'clock.
