Mr. Joseph Waller Bozman, died at his home in Morning Sun Thursday morning, June 2, 1904, at eight o'clock, aged 76 years, 11 months and 15 days. Mr. Bozman was born in Muskingum Co, Ohio, June 18, 1827. He was united in marriage to Miss Nancy A. Orrison, Nov. 10, 1853, in Perry Co., Ohio. A portion of their married life was spent there and in 1864 they came west to Iowa and settled on a farm in Louisa county, four and one-half miles southwest of Wapello. They resided there until December 17, 1900, when they left the farm and moved to Morning Sun where they were living at the time of Mr. Bozman's death. To this union were born ten children, nine of whom are living all are residents of Louisa count except one son. They are: A. H. Bozman, Mrs. I Downs, Mrs. E. M. Sprinkle, U. G. Bozman, G. S., J. F., N. E. and W. J., who lives in Davis county, Iowa and Mrs. H. R. Rogers. One daughter, Almeda, departed this life March 11, 1823.

Mr. Bozman united with the Christian church about forty years ago and has been a devoted follower of Christ the remaining part of his life. He was a great lover of the Sabbath school. The funeral services were held from the Methodist Episcopal church at morning Sun Saturday, June 4, at 2 p. m., conducted by Revs. T. S. Pool and F. W. Adams. Interment at Concord cemetery.
