Toolesboro- Last Friday morning G. L. Mallory received a telegram announcing the death of Mrs. Wm. Mayne, who died at Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Thursday, May 26th, at 1 o'clock p. m., aged 32 years and 3 months. On the 13th day of July, 1903, Mrs. Mayne left here for Colorado in search of better health. From there she went to New Mexico, but of no avail, as the dread disease consumption claimed her and she was called home. Friends met the body at Wapello Sunday morning and conveyed it to Toolesboro. The funeral was held at the church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Bentzinger preached a beautiful funeral sermon, after which the remains were laid to rest at the Mallory cemetery.
