Yesterday afternoon occurred the death of Mrs. Ruth Lesnet after an illness of several weeks with senile gangreen, from which she suffered greatly during her last hours. She was born Oct. 14, 1829, in Pike county, Ohio, and was married March 9th, 1854, to M. S. Lesnet. Several children were born to them, but Ira, who lives in Wapello, is the only one surviving. She also leaves three brothers, W. S. Freeland, Wapello; E. S. Freeland, Ainsworth, and I. C. Freeland, Letts. The funeral will be held from the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Reusch. Interment in Wapello cemetery.
