The dark shadow of death crossed the threshold of the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Weaver last Friday night and called for its own their only daughter. Mary Frances Weaver was a bright, sweet, winsome little girl of six summers. A most lovable child and a favorite with all her associates. Her untimely death has left an aching void in the home which time cannot heal and her happy presence will be sadly missed by her playmates. She is mourned by all and the parents of this saddened home have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community. Mary Frances was sick less than a week with scarlet fever, though her death is attributed to a complication, the principal cause being rheumatism of the heart. Her condition was not considered dangerous until Friday, from which time her decline was rapid until she breather her last at about 10 o'clock. Owing to the family being quarantined it was impossible to hold a public funeral and the remains were followed to their last resting place in the Cairo cemetery by the parents and few relatives and friends where a service of prayer was offered
