Mrs. Cornelia R. Stickney, one of the oldest residents of Columbus Junction, was stricken with paralysis last Saturday and died during the night. The deceased was the grandmother of Mr. Arthur Springer, of this city. She was born at Waterville, N. Y., Dec. 27, 1818, making her 85 years of age, lacking one day, at the time of her death. She leaves five children, Mrs. Celista Carpenter, of Columbus Junction; Mrs. Dora Last, of Denver; Chas. J., of New Boston, Ill.; Orson H., of Spirit Lake, Iowa; besides numerous grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday from the home of Dr. Frank Darrow, conducted by Rev. J. C. Kendrick, with interment in Columbus City cemetery.
