Mrs. George Wiederrecht died at the home of her son, Louis, east of Wapello, last Monday night about 10 o'clock. On the Friday previous she suffered a stroke of paralysis which caused her death. Mrs. Solome Wiederrecht nee S??berger, wife of George Wiederrecht, Sr. was born in Rhine Bishoffsheim, Baden, Germany, on August 6, 1826 and died near Wapello, Iowa, on the 5th day of October, 1903, age 77 years, 1 month, and 29 days. Deceased left her native country and came to Buffalo, N. Y. in 1852. On the 9th day of January 1856, she was married to Geo. Wiederrecht, the bereaved husband. To them six children were born, three sons and three daughters, George, Louis and Fred, and Solome, wife of H. Lieberknecht, Lizzie, wife of George Kreiner, and Katie, wife of S. Schaeffer. The first child, George was born near buffalo, N. Y. and the next year 1854, they came to Louisa county, Iowa.

In 1863 the deceased united with the German Congregational church in Grandview and was a member in good standing for a number of years. For the past seven years she has been a consistent member of the German M.E. church, of Wapello. She leaves besides her husband and children and grandchildren, one brother and one sister in Germany, and two nephews and one niece in this country. The funeral services were held at the home of Louis Wiederrecht, three miles east of Wapello at 1 o'clock and at Harrison church at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. C. Schultze, pastor of the German M. E. church, of Wapello, assisted by Rev. Stein, of the Congregational church of Grandview. Interment in Harrison cemetery.
