Columbus City, Sept. 16 - Died, September 16, William Johnston, after an illness of two weeks. His wife is very sick and friends are anxious for her recovery. Mr. Johnston was born in Tennessee in 1830 and came to Iowa when a young man. He was married to Rachel Maxwell about 47 years ago and they were the parents of five children, three daughters and two sons. One son died in 1881. The funeral was held from the late home Wednesday at 10 o'clock.
