Mrs. Eliza Jane (Bailor) Odle was born in Dolphin county, Penn., May 12, 1823 and died September 12, 1902, aged 79 years and four months. She was married to Joseph Odle, to whom were born ten children, six children now living as follows: Josiah Odle, Jesse Allen Odle, Nelson Odle, Mrs. Marla Walsinger, Mrs. Maggie Town and Mrs. Vina Bouton. Religiously, Mrs. Odle was a Baptist, having been baptized into that body in early life. She found in life the greatest pleasures in administering to those she found in most need of her aid. She was married to Moses Odle in 1847 and came to Iowa in company with her husband in the year 1876 locating near Bard, where three years later her husband died. In her last illness she was contented and full of faith an example of Christian fortitude and expressing no regret an her departure.
