Big Marsh - The people of this community were shocked to hear of the death of George Morehead, which occurred at his home early Friday morning, aged 64 years, 4 months, and 1 day. He was born in Pennsylvania, and when a small boy came to Columbus City township. He was there united in marriage to Miss Ada McBride. This union was blessed with four children, one boy having preceded his father to that heavenly home. One daughter, two sons, a wife and three brothers, besides a large circle of friends, are left to mourn his departure. The funeral services were held at the Christian Chapel, conducted by Rev. P. M. Orr, pastor of the Reformed church at Columbus Junction. The remains were laid to rest in Swank cemetery.
