Columbus Junction, Ia., May 23 - Little Harold Drake, the eight year old son of Rev. S. R. Drake, of this place was killed tonight by a cow he was leading. He had either tied the rope around him or became entangled in it some way, when the cow ran away with him or over him, trampling or dragging him to death. When help came to him he was found with an arm broken and his head crushed in. As the family is quarantined due to smallpox, it is difficult to get at the exact facts, as reports are somewhat conflicting. This accident places the family in a sad plight, indeed, as the husband was formerly an inmate of the hospital at Mt. Pleasant and since the quarantine has been established has again shown marked symptoms of his former ailment. His son's tragic death, it is feared, may entirely overcome him.
