Grandview - After lingering in an unconscious condition for two weeks Mr. John Hunter passed quietly away Sabbath morning last at nine o'clock. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. C. Beven at the M. E. church on Monday Dec. 20, at 1:30 p. m. after which his remains were laid to rest in the Grandview cemetery. Mr. Hunter was 80 years of age, served three years in the union army as a member of Co. "C" 5th Iowa infantry, was a charter member of Isaiah Dodder post No. 446 G. A. R. He leaves a widow and three children to mourn his death.
